How we are paid
We are paid a commission by the insurance company you choose, included in your premium. Commission rates differ by carrier and by line of insurance; ask and we will tell you what we earn on any policy we recommend. We do not charge fees for quotes, policy changes or claims help.
Independent agency disclosure
Stellhorn & Kettner Insurance is an independent insurance agency, sometimes called an insurance broker, not an insurance company. We are appointed to sell policies for several carriers. The carrier, not the agency, issues the policy, sets the price, decides on claims and pays them.

Binding and coverage
A quote request does not bind coverage. Coverage begins only when a carrier accepts the application and confirms it in writing, and it is subject to the policy’s terms, conditions, limits and exclusions. Read your policy and ask us about anything that is unclear.
